Dr. ir. Roel Meulepas is an environmental engineer specialized in anaerobic environmental biotechnology and industrial wastewater treatment. Roel has over 10 years of experience in setting-up cooperative research projects and coordinating the scale-up and piloting of novel water technologies. At Wetsus, he is a member of the Research management team and manages seven junior researchers. Furthermore, Roel coordinates the patent and EU-project portfolios of Wetsus. In REPARES, Roel contributes to WP3 “Fostering cooperation with the non-academic sector”.
